“The reason why I sculpt: To bring out the spirit that lives inside each animal.”

— John Elsebusch

Thirty years of sculpting wild nature

I began painting large works at the age of 9. Realistic art and illustration are still the foundation of my craft.

My work has been featured in national magazines, television, and special projects for Warner Bros. and Disney.

The difference is in the details, particularly the eyes.

“Not only is John a tremendously talented artist and visionary, he was also incredibly caring about meeting our own vision… Every feather, every color, her eyes, her talons, and her ‘attitude’, posture, and position demonstrate her strength and magnificence.”

— Kelly Van Roy
Owner of red-tailed hawk sculpture, “Harmony”

Your vision brought to life

Recreating animals in wood, developing realistic textures, and intricate painting are my passion.

I’m meticulous in my research to fit your specific desires and to match the area your sculpture will be seen in.

“John Elsebusch has captivated the hearts of a discerning clientele including sophisticated wineries, celebrities and private collectors who appreciate the harmonious blend of art and nature that his pieces embody.”

— Janet Everitt

Nature is my passion

I immerse myself in my art, continually trying to reach a state of pure beauty. A state where the wood sculpture resembles a living animal.

Many of God’s greatest creations are the animals and birds of the earth.

I am attracted to the wild but peaceful exotic looks of each animal.

Each has a hard life to live in order to survive.

Each has its moments of joy.
